How to make Malli Chammanthi

Malli or coriander leaves are one of the common spice ingredients used to add natural flavor to the food. The numerous health benefits of coriander include treatment of skin inflammation, control high cholesterol levels, Mouth ulcers, diarrhea, anemia, digestion, and menstrual problems.

Ingredients to make Coriander leaves (Malli) Chammanthi :

  • Coriander leaves : 250 gm
  • Green Chilly : 3 - 4 nos
  • Salt : to taste
  • Tomato : 1 no
  • Ginger : 1 small piece
  • Lemon : 1 no (or Lemon juice – 2 tsp) 

How to make Coriander leaves (Malli) Chutney:

Clean the tomato and ginger and cut them into small pieces.
Put the pieces of tomato, ginger and green chilli into the mixer grinder jar and add salt to taste.
Also put the cleaned and cut coriander leaves into the mixer jar.
Cover the jar and grind the ingredients to paste.
When the mix is grinded well, stop the mixer grinder and change the chutney to a bowl and add the lemon juice and stir it.
