Easy and Quick Chicken Pulao Recipe

Here is a quick and easy to make chicken recipe as your main dish. Chicken pulao is not liked by Kerala families as a main dish instead of biriyani. Actually pulao with right ingredients is a mouth watering recipe you can cook with chicken in less time compared to biriyani. The basmati rice and aromatic spices that is added in Chicken pulao is an essential recipe you should try. Ingredients
Chicken pulavu
Chicken-1/2 kg,
cleaned To grind
Ginger-a small piece
Garlic-2-3 cloves
Corriander leaves-1/4 cup
Mint leaves-1/4 cup
Green chilli-4
Cumin seeds-1/2 tsp
Grind everything to a smooth paste,keep it aside.
Onion-1,large
Tomaro-1,large
Cardamom-5
Cinnamon-a large piece
Cloves-5
Chicken masala powder or biriyani masala powder-3 tbsp
Rice-2 1/2 cup
Water-4 cup,
may change dependingon the rice used
salt
Oil-1/4 cup
Lime juice-1tbsp
For garnishing
Ghee-2tbsp
Sliced onion-1
Cashew n raisins
Heat oil,add the chicken pieces and fry till brown. Keep it aside.To the same oil,add cardamom, cinnamon and cloves. Add chopped onion and salt and saute till golden brown. Add the ground paste and cook for few mints. Add chicken masala and cook till raw smell disappears. Add chopped tomato and cook till mashy. Add chicken pieces,lime juice,water,mix well and bring to boil. Add the rice,cover and cook till the rice is done. Garnish with fried onion,cashew and raisins.
