Carrot beetroot thoran

Ingredients

Beetroot-1
Carrot-2
Green Chilli-3
Kashmiri Chilli Powder-1/4tsp
Curryleaves-3 strings
Salt-to taste
Coconut Oil-2 tbsp
Big Onion-1
Shallots-10

METHOD

Peel and wash carrot and beetroot.

Cut carrot 
and beetroot into square shapes.

Heat 1 tbsp of oil and add beetroot first .

Saute for 5 minute in medium flame .

Then add carrots and saute along with beetroot .

sprinkle little salt .

Saute till the raw smell goes .

Transfer this to a plate and keep aside .

Now heat 1 tbsp of oil and add finely chopped big onion and shallots ,curry leaves and green chilli  along with salt and saute  .

careful about the salt,we already added some salt in beetroot-carrot mix.

Saute till the onion become translucent .

Then add chilli powder and stir well till the raw smell goes .(in low flame)

Finally add the beetroot carrot mix and stir well .

Cook for another 5 minutes by stirring occasionally.

So very easy and yummy carrot and beetroot thoran is ready to serve .

Its a great combination with rice , pickle and curd.
