Beef Meat Ball Recipe

Meatballs are one of my favorite dishes, and there are variety of recipes available with different flavor and style. This one is a new approach on the traditional Italian beef meatball dish. The real secret behind the taste of this dish is the combination of the cumin, dill seed powder, and pepperjack cheese. This makes the meatballs moist and nice and will asked for second one by everybody.

This delicious beef meat ball was modified by me, and I liked it very much that I share the recipe here with everyone who wants to tastes it.

Ingredients of beef meat ball

Original recipe makes 5 servings Change Servings

    1 tablespoon minced garlic

    2 teaspoons chopped fresh parsley

    1 tablespoon dried basil

    2 teaspoons ground cumin

    1 tablespoon dried dill seed or ain jaradeh (in arabic)

    1 teaspoon ground black pepper

    1/2 cup dry bread crumbs

    1 1/2 teaspoons prepared yellow mustard

    1/2 teaspoon salt

    2 eggs, beaten

    3/4 cup crumbled pepper jack cheese

    1 1/2 pounds beef

    1/2 large onion, sliced into thin rings

Preparation time: 10 mins
Cooking time: 20 mins
Ready in: 30 mins

Preparation Method

  1. In a large bowl, join the garlic, parsley, basil, cumin, pepper, dill,  bread crumbs, mustard, salt, cheese, eggs and beef.
  2. Mix well using your hands, making sure that the cheese is evenly distributed.
  3. Roll the mixture into balls of 1 1/2 inch
  4. Place them in a lightly greased pan.
  5. Put the rings of onion over the top of the meatballs.
  6. Cover the pan, and set the heat to medium-low.
  7. Turn the meatballs over after about 3 minutes,
  8. Increase the heat to medium. 
  9. Continue to cook the meatballs, turning every 10 minutes, until cooked through. 

Serve immediately. Add some diced green onion for garnishing the meat balls before serving and take it with some tomato sauce. It's a great appetizer starter for any party. Hope that you enjoy this recipe!
